Shipments to the European Union (Not Including United Kingdom)
As of the 1st of July the European Union has updated their import requirements for all international shipments.
What does this mean for shipments going to Europe?
All shipments, regardless of value, now require payment of VAT (local taxes). Tax rates range from 15-21% and will be added to European orders only at checkout.
What are we doing about this change?
We have registered in the EU so that we can collect VAT upfront and prepay it. This means your recipient will not be charged VAT at the time of delivery. This will also mean the recipient doesn't have to pay a 15 Euro handling charge on top of this.
We have worked hard to ensure we are compliant and there will be no disruption to deliveries or extra charges to pay for the recipient, if you have any questionsΒ please email us at help@downunderbox.com.au
Shipments to countries outside of the European Union (including the UK) remain unaffected.
